Maybe if you shut your eyes, and block him out, he'll go away. On the other hand, if you don't, you're stuck endlessly yapping to passing cars.

This jogs my memory. Wasn't it Ayn Rand who claimed her greatest fear was to be trapped in a cave with a manman armed with a knife, a madman who had no capability of reason? Because appeals to reason could not help her and she surely would lose; in that situation, there was no way for her to survive. I guess we have to change the Alien v. Predator movie slogan to: "Nobody wins, and I lose."
